The Wicked Child's Haggadah: Wrestling with Passover in the Shadow of CO-VID 19

Writing as a Daily Practice: Preparing for Passover during the Corona Virus

I joined a Facebook Group called #DailyPractice #SupportGroup. Listening to people share their daily practices throughout the day has become a blessed daily practice for me. I was honored to share a writing of mine in this group, with the hope that this becomes a daily practice for me. Here is my first share on #Passover and the #CoronaVirus.

What I have learned from the Jewish tradition's approach to #death as we face mass numbers of people dying from the Corona Virus.

This year we will celebrate #Passover isolated from one another due to the #CoronaVirus threat. How do we honor the reality of the current situation without superficially imposing order through the #seder #ritual? To honor the authenticity of the painful place we are in, I offer my commentary on the beginning of the Hagaddah.

This vegetable on the Seder plate measures the level of justice in our society for all of the workers who are risking their lives to preserve the supply chain so that food gets to our tables.

How can we break our challenges so we can overcome them and avoid being broken down by them?
We are instructed to tell the Passover story along this arc. How do we tell the story of #Covid19 when we are in the midst of shame?
